The Grade 6 Sleepover at school was so much fun. We played sports, games, had a scavenger hunt and great worship. The highlight of the night for all was definitely the bonfire. Most the kids had never sat around a bonfire before and they were fascinated at the crackling wood and jumping sparks, not to mention the heat it gave off. After years of campfires at Joy, I wasn't used to the heat from the fire combined with 30 degree temperatures. I taught them 'Old Hiram's Goat' and 'The Other Day'...campfire classics. So much fun! We are off for a 3-day Grade 6 Retreat to the mountains starting tomorrow...teaching here is so tough some times;)
