One of the many lovely things about living in Indonesia is the number of holidays we have spread throughout the year! Since there are 5 official religions here, all of their religious holidays mean a day off of school. Katie, Carolyn and I had the priviledge to be sponsored by our church to attend a 2-day Children's Ministry conference over the long weekend. We were surprised how large this conference was, with easily 600 people there. The workshop leaders were from the US, Singapore, England and Indonesia and we learned lots of practical ways to reach out to kids (ballooning, puppetry, magic tricks, etc.).
