Thailand is 95% Buddhist and Buddhist symbols can be seen everywhere. This is a picture of the Reclining Buddha found in Wat Po. It is 15 metres high and 46 metres long!!! As you may have noticed there is sooo much gold in Thai buildings, but especially their Buddhas. Unlike the western depiction of a short, fat, bald Buddha, the statues here are mostly young, lean and with spikey hair or hat. There were also many monks wearing saffron robes walking around the city, as well as the previously mentioned Wats everywhere. Very different from Indonesia which is 90% Muslim.
