Dog for a week: easy come, easy go!

After lamenting the separation from my wonderful dog in Canada, I decided to 'adopt' an unwanted Golden Retriever on a trial basis. Little did I know how much work a dog (especially a puppy who has never been given any real love and attention) can be. I enjoyed the extra companionship and the exercise that 'Blessing' brought....(she came pre-named), but found there were too many lifestyle sacrifices that I would have to make in order to keep her. Even though she is a red Golden, just like my dog in Canada, better judgement won out.....so I returned the dog and bought a bike instead:)
