Today I am finally going to post my first pictures from Indonesia. Let me introduce you to a constant companion here: the gecko or "cicak". These little guys like to get into your house and crawl around your walls and ceilings! They are suppose to be good for controlling the mosquito population, but I would just as soon keep them outside. They make a very distinctive sound, which for my first month I always thought it was someone knocking on the door!? I was experimenting with my camera on this day and this little cicak cooperated perfectly by staying still on the outside of my school window.
