A Merry Christmas Party with YWAM Kids

In light of all the recent events over here and the Christmas season, I am taking a hiatus from posting summer Europe pictures so I can try and be current. Last Saturday we had a wonderful Christmas party with our little sisters and little brothers from the YWAM orphanage in Jakarta. This is both an orphanage and a foster home of sorts. I just learned that my little sister from the past 2 years, Nona, is no longer living at YWAM. Her friends told me that her parents just showed up one day and took her away, without letting her say goodbye?! I pray that she is happy back with her family and that they will be able to provide for her and not only take her back to the streets.
I enjoyed my evening spending time with Ria (in the green) as her Big Sister did not show up. We sang carols, gave gifts, ate yummy food and spend quality time together.

Check out these hilarious Indonesian mascots. Santa had the biggest backside I had ever seen. Spiderman had a gut hanging over his belt and Batman's pants were 6 inches too short. I kind of felt bad for them, as they seemed a bit akward in their costumes.
